THE REVELATION

After traversing the forest

And crossing many rivers

He eventually reached a desert

In search of his belle.

He wandered with a broken heart

Amidst the wilderness

Limping with downcast eyes

Knowing his pursuit was in vain.

Breathing began to slow down

Heartbeats lost their natural rhythm

Desperate fingers reaching toward the knees

He collapsed on the sand the very moment.

The sun shone with a fiery rage

Hot enough to burn his body

The monstrous gust of wind

Blanketed him with desert sand.

A knell arose from the east

The God of death arrived

With a serene countenance

To escort his soul to heaven.

Covered in sand

Breathing his last

He supplicated to God

To fulfil his only desire.

Having compassion for the loser

God promised to fulfil his wish

For he desperately wanted to

Meet his love for once.

While God remained unperturbed,

He took a deep breath

Preparing for the heavenward journey

For he thought it fit to accept the pain

If that pleases the Almighty.

God was being cruel

Thought the poor man

But little did he know that his girl

Was expecting him in heaven.
